Scholarship Amount: $1000

Eligibility Requirements:

• High School Senior pursuing higher education in Fall 2010 to become an entrepreneur
• Resident of Resident of East Bay Area
• Deadline to Apply: May 21, 2010

Application Must Include the Following:

• Complete Name
• Address
• Phone number
• Email Address
• Name of Current High School
• Two References (Include Name, Contact Number, and Relationship to Applicant)
• Name of School/Program Attending in Fall 2010

Please limit essay to one page (12 pt font)
All emails must be received by May 21, 2010

Include responses to the following questions in your one page essay:

• When you complete your studies, how is your business going to benefit society?
• Briefly describe your financial circumstances and how you feel a scholarship will help your educational goals.

All finalists will be asked to interview in person with the East Bay Business Leaders on June 24, 2010, between 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  The Scholarship will be awarded on July 29, 2010, at our evening social mixer.  The recipient’s family is welcome to attend.

PRIVACY POLICY FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS

EBBL does not collect information from website visitors, and does not use cookies or sell, trade, transfer or share personally identifiable information with outside parties who are not connected with the scholarship. Any information which is submitted by students applying for the scholarship is confidential and will be shared with students’ permission  only with board members and others involved in the scholarship award process.

Applicants will be placed on a distribution list only for the purpose of providing information regarding the scholarship and will not be sent any extraneous e-mails or solicitations of any kind. 

Opt-Out: 
The only distribution list on which student applicants will be placed pertains to scholarship applications.  Students are given the option to remove their e-mail addresses from any distribution list at any time by sending an e-mail request to eastbaybusinessleaders@gmail.com.
